First Visit Experience
Fill out paperwork
Your health history is an important part of the process and is designed to help the doctor more fully understand your unique health journey. It is used to help guide the conversation during the in person consultation. If you have any reports for recent imaging studies (x-ray, CT scan or MRI) or bloodwork please bring them with you to the office. We encourage you to write down any questions that you’d like to discuss with Dr. Carl. Please bring to the office any insurance information/cards that you’d like for us to submit for you.
20 - 30 Minute Consultation
During the consultation, you sit down with Dr. Carl and review the health history forms that you previously filled out and discuss your current health care needs. We address any of your questions or concerns. If possible, any reports that you bring into the office are reviewed and discussed during this time. The consultation is an important part of the process where we work together to form a plan that addresses your current health care needs.
10 - 20 Minute Examination & Testing
During the examination, Dr. Carl will perform various chiropractic, neurological and orthopedic tests to help in the evaluation of your condition. This process is useful in determining if further tests are needed. If no further testing is needed, Dr. Carl will let you know if you might benefit from chiropractic care and discuss a treatment plan of care. While he can’t make any guarantees that chiropractic will help you, he does guarantee that he will try his best to help you if you decide to follow through with care.
First Adjustment
Dr. Carl uses many different chiropractic adjusting techniques to meet your personal needs or preferences and this will be discussed prior to your first adjustment. He has safely treated patients who are newly born to age 98. Your first chiropractic adjustment from Dr. Carl usually takes place on your first visit but sometimes a later time has to be scheduled either because extra time was needed during the consultation/examination or to wait on the results of further testing. Later in the day after your initial treatment, Dr. Carl will follow up with a call to check in on how you’re doing and ask if you have any further questions.
